As part of the CP501 Urban Planning Studio Seminar Series, on 12 November 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting Urban Planner (MSc) Ömer Kaan Kurusakız, Director of Strategy Development at Elmadağ Municipality. In his presentation titled "Rock, Sand, Water, and the City: Hasanoğlan's Journey from Rural Landscape to Urban Center", Kurusakız provided a comprehensive overview of Hasanoğlan's planning processes, its spatial transformation shaped by various interventions, and the key environmental, social, and economic resources that define the area.
